abstract = {A review of life coaching was conducted using counselling and counselling psychology as a comparison to highlight potential risk of unethical practice due to inadequate research and a lack of industry regulation. The origins of life coaching and executive coaching are explored; along with current media interest which is argued may be influencing the image of life coaching. The stigma of seeking therapy is one potential driver of the current upsurge in interest in this under regulated growth industry. },
