abstract = {Coaching psychology has been used successfully in various health and wellbeing contexts, but there are conflicting views as to whether coaching is an appropriate form of mental health support. Since mental health is a relatively new area for the application of coaching, a scoping review has been conducted to delineate the current state of research in the field. This article reports on two aspects of that scoping review: first, it describes how the fledgling scoping review method was adapted for this research study, offering recommendations for future scoping reviewers. Second, implications of the findings are discussed, with an exploration of how the potential of mental health coaching could be leveraged in future practice and research.},
