AB  - Executive coaching is a timely response to the postmodern challenges that face contemporary organizations. Executive coaching is also a human service field that holds great promise in the near future—especially when linked with one or more of three broad-based initiatives that are prominent in the landscape of contemporary organizational life. I briefly address the timeliness of executive coaching, then turn to its linkages with these other initiatives and, in particular, to its linkage with multi-source assessment systems and provide a case study to illustrate the interplay between executive coaching (taking an appreciative approach) and the most prominent of these assessment systems—360 Degree feedback.
